Red, White and Boom! 2009 @ Uptown Charlotte
Presented by Lance, this fireworks show will be approximately 20 minutes long. The show begins at 9:30pm (weather and fire department clearance permitting). The show will be synched to a music track that will be heard exclusively on 96.9 FM WKKT, The Kat and played live at all viewing venues. The show can be viewed from a variety of locations around the city. If you are in the eastern part of the city and you can see the skyline, chances are, you can see the fireworks display. There is ample parking in Uptown Charlotte, but on-street parking will be not be allowed to avoid restricting traffic lanes as fireworks viewers drive in and out of the city.

Red, White & Blue FunFest @ The Blake Hotel
This free event, which takes place on the top level of the parking deck, includes the Queen City Car Wars & Bike Show, live music and Kids Zone. The Charlotte Roller Girls will be holding an exhibition bout too. After the festivities, stay and enjoy a spectacular view of the uptown fireworks show. $4.00 meal deals and cash bar.

Carowinds’ Independence Day Celebration @ Carowinds Theme Park
Join them at Carowinds for their biggest Independence Day celebration ever. This all day event includes a salute to our Heroes during the National Anthem, special country music performances, the Miss Carowinds 2009 Swimsuit Competition sponsored by Panama Jack, live DJ music, and their yearly Night of Fire. All-You-Can-Eat Patriotic Meal from 12:00-3:00 p.m. The Night of Fire fireworks celebration begins at 10:00 p.m.

Red Rocks, Whitewater & Bluegrass 4th of July Festival
@ U.S. National Whitewater Center
You’re invited to spend your 4th of July at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Starting at 12 noon, enjoy live music, food, beer, wine and activities for the whole family. After playing all day, sit back and relax watching their fireworks display over the Center.

WBT / Charlotte Knights SkyShow @ Knights’ Stadium
Join Jeep, The Charlotte Knights, & News Talk 1110 WBT at Knights Stadium for the area’s greatest fireworks spectacular. Nothing goes together better than baseball, hot dogs and fireworks on the Fourth of July, and you can be a part of the action. It’s fun for the entire family. Festival activities ouside Knights’ Stadium will begin @ 5pm and will lead up to game time @ 7:15pm. Fireworks immediately following the conclusion of the baseball game.

4th Of July Festivities In Monroe
Once again the City of Monroe will play host to a July 4 celebration that includes food, music, amusement rides, and of course a spectacular fireworks display. The event, sponsored by Monroe Parks and Recreation and the Union County Community Arts Council will be held at Belk-Tonawanda Park. The amusement rides and concessions will open at 4:30 p.m. and live music from Continental Divide will be from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. While admission to the park and concert are free, all day passes as well as individual tickets for the rides will be available for sale.
