Charlotte Bobcats Clinch Franchise's First Playoff Birth

The Charlotte Bobcats clinched their first-ever playoff spot Wednesday night with a 104-103 win over the New Orleans Hornets. This victory, combined with a loss by the Toronto Raptors, clinched the playoffs, since the eighth-place Raptors and ninth-place Chicago Bulls still have a game remaining. Since one has to lose, the Bobcats’ 42-36 record gets them in.

Currently, Charlotte is in the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race, meaning if postseason play began today, the Cats would face the Orlando Magic.

The road swing continues with a trip to Houston next to face the Rockets. The Bobcats have two remaining home games left for the regular season.

All home games take place at Time Warner Cable Arena – 333 E. Trade St, Charlotte, NC. Click Here For Tickets
