Symphony in the Park – Cornelius – June 30th
Symphony in the Park – Celebrate America! Gates open at 6pm at Bailey Road Park and the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will perform. There will be fireworks following the performance, admission is free. 6pm-10pm. Fireworks at 9:30pm.

Town of Davidson Independence Day Parade – July 1st
Citizens are invited to celebrate our nation’s independence with a home-spun downtown parade and a Concert on the Green on Sunday, July 1. The parade will include a color guard, fire engine, and lots of patriotic residents. 5:30pm. The Concert on the Green will begin at 6:00pm.

The Coca-Cola 4th of July Festival features two consecutive days of free live music and fireworks. The celebration takes place Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4.

Charlotte Symphony Celebrate America Concert – July 3rd
The summer concert season ends with a bang on July 3 at the Symphony’s most popular concert of the year, the annual “Celebrate America.” Albert-George Schram leads the orchestra in patriotic favorites, including “Star Spangled Banner,” “Armed Forces Salute,” Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” and Sousa’s “Liberty Bell March.” The concert culminates in an impressive array of fireworks.
Time:Preludes @ 7:00 p.m.; Orchestra @ 8:15 p.m. Cost:$10 for adults, and free for children 18 & under.

Legends Big Money 100 & Fireworks Extravaganza – @ July 3rd
The largest grassroots race in history will once again offer the largest Legend Car and Bandolero purse of the year as drivers do battle on the speedway’s frontstretch quarter-mile oval. The event will feature two days of racing, culminating in the Legends Big Money 100 on Tuesday evening. Tuesday’s finale will include a Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza. Tickets are $10 for adults. Kids 13 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com or by calling the speedway’s ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS (3267).

Shriners International 4th of July Parade – July 4th
Come see the world-famous Shriners 4th of July parade in Charlotte for free! The whole family will enjoy this spectacular demonstration of patriotism as the Shriners take to the streets of Uptown Charlotte with marching bands, clowns and tiny cars! This year the Shriners 4th of July Parade will begin in Uptown Charlotte at North Tryon Street and East 9th Street, ending at Stonewall Street. The parade is scheduled to begin at 2:30pm and end at 5:30pm.

Lake Wylie provides a very large annual display, and it’s an annual tradition for many. The best viewing is from the area around the Buster Boyd Bridge that crosses over the lake. There’s the boat landing and several restaurants, all of which will provide excellent viewing.

July 4th Spectacular – July 4th
Spend your Fourth of July with friends and family in Center City Charlotte at Memorial Stadium for the Presbyterian Hospital July 4th Spectacular! Usually the biggest show around, this is the “official” fireworks show of Charlotte. The city spends $50,000 on the 20 minute show, which attracts over 300,000 people to Uptown. This show was ranked the 13th best in America according to AOL Travel, and it never disappoints. There’s usually plenty of live music and fun until about 9 p.m. – when the real attraction takes over. At about 9:30 p.m., one of the area’s biggest and longest fireworks displays begins.
