Labor Day Celebration at U.S. National Whitewater Center
On Saturday, September 1st, 2012, enjoy free concerts from three bands starting at 4pm at the Whitewater Center, followed by a fireworks display over the whitewater river when it gets dark.

2012 Charlotte Labor Day Parade
The 2012 Charlotte Labor Day Parade will begin at 10 am on Labor Day Monday- Sept. 3. The route for this year only will be from Pearl Street Park to Marshall Park- a distance of 1.3 miles.

CarolinaFest
This free festival, which will welcome the Democratic National Convention, will take place on Monday, Labor Day, starting at 10am, on Tryon Street between Stonewall and Trade Streets. The headliner act will be James Taylor but there will be many musical acts on two stages throughout the day.

Yard Art Day
On Labor Day, Monday, September 3rd, artists all over the Charlotte region will be adorning their front yards with art. This grass roots event has grown to include hundreds of participants. Matthews Alive
