Every year on the 5th of May, Americans come together to celebrate Mexican culture, heritage and cuisine on a day that commemorates the 1862 victory of Mexico over the French. Whether it is a night of authentic Mexican cuisine and drinks, a bar crawl or a festival, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo right here in the Charlotte area.

Over 900 crawlers on last year’s CincoFest Bar Crawl! Price includes all cover charges, great drink specials, and a commemorative koozie. 6th Annual Cinco de Mayo Fanta Festival
The Latin American Coalition and Coca-Cola have partnered once again to present the region’s largest, most exciting Cinco de Mayo celebration, the 6th annual Fanta Festival. This FREE, family friendly celebration of Mexican culture will take place on Sunday, May 5th at McAlpine Creek Park, from 11am to 7pm. The festival features internationally known and local Regional Mexican music acts, traditional folkloric dancing, tasty authentic foods, a marketplace full of assorted cultural goods, a free soccer clinic for children 6 – 12 years old, the McDonald’s Kid Zone, the Coca-Cola Fun Zone, a non-profit and small business area, and loads of interactive games for the whole family to enjoy.
