The Moore Brothers Band–

If you didn’t catch them at Merlefest, catch them at the Barn Bash as they play the first set! Jacob 14 yrs old & Isaac 8 yrs old along with the Moore Brothers Band will be kicking up some outstanding Bluegrass tunes to get the day started off right!

An Alternative Funk’n’Soul band. Bandleader Greg Humphreys as the voice of ’90s Mammoth/Atlantic recording artists Dillon Fence, a key band in the Chapel-Hill NC music scene that spawned Ben Folds, Ryan Adams, and Squirrel Nut Zippers. Humphreys’ songs have been covered by such bands as Hootie and the Blowfish and Letters to Cleo.

What could make a Spring evening out any better than that?

Doing it all to help fund a cure for Cystic Fibrosis for a sweet little girl named Caroline.

The Story… It began in the 90’s at Sanderson high school in Raleigh, NC when Brent Allen, Jeremy Oehling, and Rebecca Shuttlesworth became friends. Over the years, we’ve just always been there for each other, because that’s what good friends do. 

You may know Brent Allen. Life of the party, full of fantastic ideas, and always looking to help a friend. Especially if it’s going to be fun and there’s going to be a story to tell later… Brent’s goal is to grow the Barn Bash into an awesome music festival benefiting CF.

When Jeremy Oehling and Sarah Burkart purchased Starlight Meadow in Burlington, NC they knew it would be a place where great things would happen. They celebrated their wedding there in 2011 and Starlight Meadow has quickly become a sought-after venue in the Triad for events and an opportunity to do more and to give back. 

When Rebecca and Joe Lewis of Charlotte, NC had their second child, Caroline, now 2 years old, they didn’t realize how their lives were about to change. At 10 days old, Caroline was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a serious life-threatening disease of the lungs and digestive track. Forty-five percent of kids with CF make it past 18.

CF is called an orphan disease because it impacts less than .01% of the US population, so there’s no federal funding for research or a cure. It’s extremely rare, yet 1 in 31 Americans are carriers of the defective gene that causes CF. The burden is on the families and the community to help fund a cure for CF. And they’re so close. A “miracle drug” is currently in Phase 2 trials –  it’s entirely possible that it will be ready as early as 2020. $75 million has gone into getting it where it is today and we need your help to bring it home.
