The Charlotte 49ers basketball coaches and players tip off the 2011-12 season with their annual Uptown Tip Off, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in uptown Charlotte.
The Uptown Tip Off will be held at the city’s central hub, the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets, from 11:45am-1pm. The teams will be joined by members of the 49ers cheerleaders, Gold Duster Dance Team, Basketball Band, and Norm the Niner to give the Tip Off a game-day feel. Fans will have the opportunity to grab information on the 2011-12 season, as well as additional giveaways. Prizes can also be won as part of several 49ers games.
This event provides 49ers fans and the greater Charlotte community with an opportunity to meet 49ers coaches Alan Major and Cara Consuegra, along with their staffs and players in advance of the upcoming season.
