Broadway meets Saturday Night Live meets Charlotte in CHARLOTTE SQUAWKS!

Returning for their eighth edition, the creative team of Mike Collins and Brian Kahn collaborate with the area’s most talented singers, dancers, actors and egomaniacs to parody pop-culture, politics, sports and our beloved Queen City. From the Cam Newton to the Democratic National Convention, nothing is sacred!

Using songs that range in style from Broadway, to rap, to rock-n-roll, this year’s edition sets its sight on a variety of targets including Ballantyne secessionists, Occupy Charlotte, social media, to the historically bad Bobcats. And this being an election year, I’ll bet you $10,000 that Romney, the Obamas, Newt Gingrich, Congress, Pat McCrory, and Jennifer Roberts get a few numbers. Heck, even folks who are not running will be made fun of (lookin’ at you, Bev Perdue and Harold Cogdell).

Old favorites will return and the newest hits toping the pop charts will be parodied, so come join us for a night of satire, sarcasm, and scathing scatological song, live in the Booth Playhouse!
