Saturday, December 17th 7-11pm The Westin Hotel 601 S. College St.

Well, it is that special time of year again and this year we really want to make our Holiday Party a truly memorable event. I have some great news, we will be holding our party at the beautiful Westin Hotel! What a great locale for all of us to get together, dress in our Holiday finest, share some of the Holiday spirit with friends over some great food/drink and give back. So, join us, starting at 7pm as we savor in one of the most scenic settings in Charlotte, as their lounge area is AMAZING. We will have music going with a DJ, an area for taking formal pictures, with holiday decor by the AbFab folks from Charlotte Seen, a photo booth set up for pics provided by Shutter Booth, holiday decorations, holiday inspired cocktails, very light appetizers, cash bar and our arms open and ready to give back.

I am VERY proud to be announce that our holiday party will be a way that “GOOD EATS GIVES BACK”. With the number of members we have, I have no doubt that we will have lots of people willing to open up their hearts and give of themselves for the sake of others less fortunate. In regards to the party, we are asking that ALL members coming bring an unwrapped toy(with a value of $20 and up) that we will be donating to “A Child’s Place” and/or $20 cash ONLY(NO EXCEPTIONS). Bring either or both! We hope you open up your hearts and your wallets! We want as much bang for the buck to go back to the charity, so we are going to be very modest in regards to our offerings.

The Need For A Child’s Place With no permanent residence, homeless children often stop going to school — the one place that should provide structure in a life of transition. Without the influence and stability of a classroom environment, these children lose more than a chance to learn. They also lose the crucial sense of belonging gained from interacting with friends and other students. But there is hope for these children — and help — through A Child’s Place.
