HopeMatch is a charity that provides holiday assistance to people in need in the Charlotte, North Carolina area at Christmas time. They provide hope in the form of handwritten cards of encouragement and meeting material needs through private donations and sponsorship of individuals and families. The goal of HopeMatch is to show God’s love to people who are going through a tough time in life. HopeMatch allows the community to have a “hands on” approach to helping their fellow neighbor, co-worker, or maybe someone they have never met, cope with the uncertainties of life. One unique quality of this organization is that there are no income limits or qualifications you have to meet. The only rule is that a family or individual must be referred by someone outside of their family who knows of their situation. A family in need cannot refer themselves. The Board of Directors will discern who is able to be helped each year. HopeMatch is not a one-time help for the families and individuals it serves, but seeks to be a connecting point where they can come back throughout the rest of the year for encouragement, prayer, and a place to share the good things that have happened as they make it through their struggles. In our efforts to give back to our community, 50% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Hope Match. This is an all ages class.
