As a mentee of the songwriter/producer powerhouse duo Nick Ashford & Valerie Simpson, Paul had obtained a wealth of industry experience before breaking big with his first project of significance, the 1981 release of Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King’s “I’m in Love”.
