Women For Literacy Book Fair

The Chris Canty Foundation is excited to host the Women For Literacy Book Fair at Barnes & Noble Book Store located at 3327 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte NC, 28226. This event will serve a duel purpose as we are inviting all professional women to come out and network while supporting the Chris Canty Foundation Reading Buddies literacy Initiative. We will have several professional women and authors on site during this event to talk about the importance of literacy education, living healthy, and giving back to the community.

Barnes & Nobles has partnered with the Chris Canty Foundation to feature several best selling books for women, men, and children along with a long list of books or any other items in store and on BN.com. This is a great time to purchase a book for yourself, finish up your Christmas shopping for family and friends, or purchase a book to donate to a child.

This is a family friendly event so we are also inviting men and children of all ages to come out and help us raise awareness and support for youth literacy education in our communities and schools. We are asking everyone to purchase a book for a child or for a loved one at the book fair at Barnes & Noble on that day.

Any books that are donated will be used in the Chris Canty Foundation Reading Buddies Initiative. This initiative focuses on encouraging elementary students to build relationships with positive role models from the community and each other, have fun reading and learning, raise awareness of various topics in the community, and nurture a love and excitement for reading and talking about books.
