Avett Brothers Live from Red Rocks July 9th

The Avett Brothers sold-out show from Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre will be broadcast live via satellite to the band’s hometown of Concord, NC at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Concord’s own Avett Brothers will have a unique concert event this summer.

The band, which has gone national, will be performing at famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on July 9 and will have their concert broadcasted live to their hometown.

The live video from that sold-out concert will be exclusively aired on the “world’s largest” big screen TV at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The speedway is home to the massive 80′ x 20′ Panasonic HDTV.

“The speedway has been a hometown landmark for us our whole lives, and we’re proud to have an opportunity for our music to echo through that historic infield,” Seth Avett said. “For us, performing at Red Rocks and airing live in Concord is about the most ideal situation for being in two amazing places at once.”

The Avetts’ popularity skyrocketed on the heels on their major label debut, the 2009 album “I and Love and You.” Recently, the band has become accustomed to performing sold-out concerts and in February they performed at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles alongside Bob Dylan.

USA Today also reported that this event might be a way to lure young hipsters, who follow the Avett Bros., to NASCAR, which is lagging in younger demographics.
