UPDATE: The Grand Animal Walk will not occur tonight due to an issue with the railroad. The walk was originally scheduled for 10pm but the train is stuck 60 miles outside of Charlotte and arrival time is still to be determined.
The Grand Animal Walk of The Greatest Show On Earth is scheduled for this evening, Tuesday, January 31 at 10 p.m. This event heralds the arrival of the all-new 141st Edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, offering nine performances at Time Warner Cable Arena®, February 1-5, 2012.
Spanning over three centuries, Children Of All Ages have relished the arrival of The Greatest Show On Earth to their hometown. The show comes to town in a 53-car-long steel coach and contains some of the most exotic cargo on earth. Housing artists from all over the world, accompanied by creatures large and small, the fabled Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® train is a virtual Noah’s Ark!
The animals will be unloaded from the train at 10 p.m. at W. 3rd and Graham and make their way on W. 3rd street. They will take a left onto South Poplar Street and right onto Trade Street. They will continue on Trade Street straight past Time Warner Cable Arena® and then left onto N. Caldwell Street. They will make a final left into the back loading dock of the arena.
