WBT Holiday on Ice 2012
November 21 – January 6, 2013 @ NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza
Holiday on Ice has become a favorite of many local families, and it’s back again for 2012. Each year, an outdoor ice skating rink springs up in Uptown. The rink has been on The Green in Uptown in previous years, but now, it’s at the corner of MLK Blvd and Brevard on The NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza. Regular Hours are Wednesday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Special and extended hours exist during holidays and school breaks. Admission to the rink is $9, admission with skate rental is $12.

Christmas at the Billy Graham Library
December 1 – 22, 2012
At the Billy Graham Library, visitors can see a live Nativity that offers a glimpse into the awe of that first Christmas night, complete with live animals. You can also enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides through one of Charlotte’s most beautiful light displays and hear heartwarming sounds of caroling and festive music. There will be Christmas story time for kids of all ages (5 to 9:30 p.m.) and a chance to pet live animals! (noon to 2 p.m.) Carriage rides are $3 for children 12 and under, $7 for adults. The Birth
December 13 – 23, 2012 @ Duke Energy Theater
Charlotte’s very own original Christmas experience, The Birth, enters its 7th season this December. With an expanded performance schedule culminating in the audience-favorite Celebration Night, featuring a reception and concert by local musician Sarah DeShields, The Birth once more proves itself the best-kept-holiday-secret in Charlotte. An international cast of over 30 multi-talented and brilliantly costumed artists come to life and perform astonishing feats of disbelief.
