Grammy Award-Winning Gordon Chambers & Friends Feb 16th

GRAMMY Award-Winning composer and singer Gordon Chambers will be in concert at The Sunset Club in Charlotte on Thursday, February 16, 2012 presented by the Charlotte Division of Music Cares and the Charlotte Area Association of Black Journalists, with proceeds going to benefit Samaritan’s Feet.

The accomplished artist has joined forces with the Barefoot Entertainment Division of Samaritan’s Feet, in order to provide Shoes of Hope for children in need around the world.

After receiving esteemed awards for penning hit songs for iconic R&B legends such as Anita Baker, Beyonce, Usher, Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams and the legendary Patti Labelle, he has released his third solo album, Sincere, and will be in Charlotte as a part of his promotional tour “One Night Only, with Gordon Chambers & Friends”.

Mr. Gordon will himself do the event “barefoot” in order to raise awareness of the more than 300 million children who are without shoes in the world today. “Many of these children do not have access to proper foot care, and a simple pair of shoes reduces their risk of infection, disease and amputation, “ said Peter Rieke, Director of Barefoot Entertainment.

Opening for Gordon Chambers is newcomer Eliz Camacho. The concert will begin at 8PM at the Sunset Club located at 1820 South Blvd Charlotte, NC. Admission is $15. For tickets contact 201.579.0012.
