The Charlotte Labor Day Parade
The annual Charlotte Labor Day Parade will be held Monday, September 5th at 11 am. The event is organized by the Charlotte Labor Day Parade Committee in conjunction with the Southern Piedmont Central Labor Council. The parade is a celebration of organized labor in our country, our region, and in our community. Pre-parade assembly begins at 9 am at 701 North College Street. The parade begins at the Hal Marshal Center, proceeding down Tryon Street, through the Square, and ending at Tryon and 3rd Streets.

Matthews Alive Festival Labor Day Celebration
The Matthews Alive Festival takes place all Labor Day weekend and is in celebration of local non-profit organizations through music, arts and community involvement. The festival features rides, great food, mobile exhibits and so much more! Grab the family and head out to Matthews for an unforgettable day of food, folks and great fun!

Labor Day Celebration At U.S. National Whitewater Center
Sunday, September 4th, 2011 4pm
Enjoy fun water activities while celebrating Labor Day at the U.S. National White Water Center! Water activities are available all day such as rafting, canoeing, swimming, snorkeling and other fun-filled water sports! The day will be capped off with a fireworks display! The celebration begins at 4:00PM and it is absolutely free! The Steep Canyon Rangers, live music and other bands will showcase their talents and sing the praises of summertime!
