2015 Queen City Jazz Fest featuring renowned jazz artists Will Downing, Brian Culbertson and Mike Phillips with special guest Karen Briggs at the Uptown Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Saturday, June 20th.

The Queen City Jazz Fest will include the multi-talented instrumentalist and performer Brian Culbertson. After releasing 15 albums and performing with a host of musicians including Michael McDonald, Chris Botti, Herb Alpert, Natalie Cole and more, Culbertson has won numerous Oasis Smooth Jazz awards and been nominated for the 2012 NAACP Image Awards for Best Jazz Album and the 2012 Soul Train Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Artist.

The “Prince of Sophisticated Soul” Will Downing takes the stage for one captivating show. This 27 year smooth R&B and Soul Songwriter, Producer and Musician has recorded 18 albums with his most recent release titled “Chocolate Drops”. He has recorded with Brian Culbertson, Rachelle Farrell, Boney James and others. His soulful voice is one that his fans love and embrace.

Rounding out this incredible talent lineup will be the melodic sounds of saxophonist Mike Phillips. Phillips is the only musician in the world to have recorded and toured with the legendary “Big Three” of American Soul music: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince. Featured with Phillips will be violinist Karen Briggs who spent thirteen years touring and recording with contemporary composer Yanni.
