2012 Charlotte World Parade & Festival Saturday, April 21st at Independence Park
Welcome to The First Annual Charlotte World Parade & Festival, featuring many educational activities such as, international games, family contests, continental displays of arts & crafts, world bazaar, storyteller in different languages and art competition.
There are so many other ways of participating in this wonderful and colorful day of traditional customs, celebrating the diversity of our city’s cultures. This festival will include folklore, food, ethnicity and a variety of live entertainment in its program.
All cultures, all countries, all nations are coming together.

Parade of Nations
This walking Parade will give you the opportunity to show all native dresses from different countries of the world. It will be called by continents, Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceanic. The Parade of the Nations with participants wearing traditional costumes and a majestic salute of flags of the World, would lead to our main stage. More than 30 countries will be represented in the parade and the multicultural festival that follows at the Independence Park in Charlotte, NC. Parade begins at 11am.
Entertainment
The World Parade & Festival has release the lineup of participants schedule to perform at the 2012 show. This fun and educational festival includes a long list of cultural entertainers. Enjoy a wide variety of live cultural entertainment all day such as Celtic dancing, African drumming, traditional Indian dancing, Greek dancing, international music, much more!
Cultural Displays
We invite you to come and explore our interactive exhibits and experience other ways of life, customs, traditions, cultures and you will want to repeat. We hope to provide you with cultural and educational information about the richness and unique foundation of our cultures.
International Bazaar
Vendors offering arts and crafts from Asia, Africa, Europe, The Middle East, North, Central & South America. Hand-painted ceramics, Shawls, Baskets and wooden statues, Fine European linens, Alpaca items, Handmade toys, antiques, Clothing, Jewelry from around the world and so much more…See for yourself!

Parking: Attendees may park in Student Parking Deck #3, of CPCC Central Campus located at 7th Street & Charlottetowne Avenue or Kings College and Elizabeth Traditional Elementary School.
