Barron D. Goodson passed away on January 5, 2012. A much-loved, humble man and classic car owner and enthusiast, all proceeds from his Memorial Classic Car & Truck Show will benefit the North Carolina Lung Cancer Partnership! 

  • Open to all classic & late model muscle cars & trucks
  • General attendance is FREE
  • Registration for cars & trucks—$15.00 with pre-registration by August 1st, $20.00 after August 1st and day of show (forms on our website)
  • Day-of Registration 8:00—11:00 AM (Goody bags & dash plaques to first 100)
  • Trophies @ 1:30 PM
  • Trophies include: Top 20, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Paint, Barron’s Girls’ Favorite, NC Lung Cancer Partnership Pick, Best of Show, Club Participation
  • Barron’s 1934 Ford, 1955 Pontiac, 1957 Chevrolet truck, 1963 Studebaker Hawk, 1963 Thunderbird & 1987 Chevy truck will be at the show!
  • Terrific food from a number of vendors and fantastic music! 
  • Children’s entertainment—Bounce House, Clippity Clop Petting Zoo, Fire Truck,  Balloon Lady & Juggler, Face Painting & more
  • Giveaways from Kannapolis Intimidators and others
  • Raffles, door prizes, 50/50, silent auction and other chances to win great items, including four UNC vs. NC State football tickets! 
  • Special guests: 
  • Dan Truhitte, classic car enthusiast & actor in ‘The Sound of Music’ will sing the National Anthem
  • Ray Smith and his 1937 Cord
  • Betty Sedberry, well-known pen, ink, & watercolor artist of ’50s and ’60s diners and others
