Author and photographer Daniel Coston will be give an illustrated presentation on Charlotte’s 1960s rock and roll history on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at The Charlotte Museum of History.  The program celebrates the release of the second edition of There Was a Time: Rock & Roll in the 1960s in Charlotte, and North Carolina, the first book on the rock and roll music scene in North Carolina during that amazing decade. This new edition introduces a wealth of new interviews, photos, and information. Co-author Daniel Coston will lead a talk about the music and the people that were a part of the music scene in Charlotte during that time, as well as Charlotte’s importance on the music scene throughout the state. Coston will also present photos and music to demonstrate what was going on during that era. The evening will then be rounded out by a short set by the Mannish Boys, led by book co-author and local music veteran Jake Berger.
