Description
“The French & Indian War in North Carolina: The Spreading Flames of War” by John R. Maass
The French and Indian War was the result of competition between France and Great Britain for supremacy in North America and part of the larger European war known as the Seven Years War. The events following the French and Indian War set the stage for The American Revolution. The war also had a significant impact on North Carolina history.
Author John Maass will discuss the dramatic conflict between Royal Governor Arthur Dobbs and the colonial legislature over how many troops to raise and how to fund the war effort.
